About Me
I am currently a Graduate Student at Purdue University, studying Mechanical Engineering in a Professional Master’s Program. Alongside my engineering studies, I have a focus in Project Management and Manufacturing Coursework. I have varied internship experience, and help run an aerospace centered student organization as a graduate mentor. I am looking for full-time positions starting this summer. I began my professional career in Medical Device Product Development. In these first internships, I worked primarily in the design and testing of prototype products to assist surgeons in joint replacement procedures, using Creo and statistical software to aid my design. Here, I also attended GD&T training to help develop my designs to be more standardized. To better round out my professional experience, I moved into a manufacturing engineering position with Daimler Truck North America, gaining first-hand experience in developing fixturing and tooling throughout manufacturing and assembly processes. I used SolidWorks to develop designs in a contractor-like role, owning a project and running design reviews within the manufacturing department. In this role, I also began to learn about project management and get experience in MS Project. In seeing the benefits of efficient project management, I shifted my career goals and adapted my graduate coursework to build stronger leadership and management skills. This semester, I became the lead mentor and Graduate TA for the Purdue Aerial Robotics Team, after having been the Mechanical Systems Lead for 2 years prior. In the past, I functioned as a lead engineer, working with a team of peers to develop payload delivery systems and mechanisms to be used on an autonomous aircraft. I gained experience with various CAD packages, and manufactured components for the aircraft. In my new role, I have taken on a position on the organization’s executive board, working with our faculty advisor to manage and guide the club, overseeing many concurrent projects across Competition and R&D divisions. I now have the opportunity to serve on the organization’s executive board, a senior Project Manager guiding the long-term goals of the team. I provide both professional and technical mentorship, and am able to leverage manufacturing and project management skills from my past positions and coursework to help develop the team’s projects.
