About Me

I recently graduated from Southern Methodist University with a Master's Degree in Accounting and I'm currently on the track to become a CPA. I'm looking for opportunities in general accounting, and I'm particularly interested in positions such as staff accountant, accounting analyst, and A/P & A/R analyst. I'm also willing to consider other opportunities in the accounting/finance industry as long as they're outside public accounting and the tax or audit track. Having immigrated from Mexico when I was 12 years old, I learned to adapt quickly to change and the importance of determination and hard work. Throughout my time at SMU I had the opportunity to perform volunteer work for different organizations such as VITA and gain industry experience at a worldwide company such as 7-Eleven, which are all opportunities that truly enriched my leadership and teamwork skills. I am organized, detail-oriented and believe in the importance of communication in order to succeed in the workplace and life in general. I believe the skills that I have attained from the dynamic environment and competitive university life will help me succeed in different roles, so I am looking forward to implementing and polishing them in the workplace.
