About Me
As a fourth-year Computer Science student at Queen's University, I am passionate about learning and applying web development skills to create impactful solutions. I am a Software Developer at Birchbark Health, a startup that aims to improve health outcomes for Indigenous communities in Canada. I oversee the UI/UX design for our application and website, using NextJS, Tailwind, TypeScript, Prisma, and tRPC to create dynamic and responsive components. Besides my academic and entrepreneurial pursuits, I am also actively involved in the tech community on campus. I co-chair the Queen's Web Development Club, where I lead and mentor other students who share my interest in web development. I also serve as the Frontend Tech Director for the QHACKS Hackathon, where I design, develop, and deploy a website for the annual event, managing a database for over 500 users and integrating various third-party libraries such as Three.js. Originally from the United States, I am open to working and collaborating with diverse and innovative teams across the border. Outside of programming, I enjoy powerlifting, reading, and learning new languages. I am fluent in English and Spanish, and I am currently learning French. If you have any book recommendations or language tips, I would love to hear from you!
