About Me

Hello! I'm Ying, a software developer with an unflinching passion for software development, focusing on both backend and frontend technologies. I recently completed an 11-week intensive training program at Revature, where I gained hands-on experience with Java, SQL databases, Spring Boot, and React.js. This training honed my skills in designing and building scalable, user-friendly, and accessible software applications. Throughout my journey, I have worked on several projects that showcase my skills and dedication to building impactful solutions. One notable project is the Hackathon 'Code the Vote' Carpooling App, which encourages civic engagement by providing an easy and efficient way for people to carpool to polling stations. This project involved building a dynamic frontend using React.js, as well as designing a secure and efficient backend with Spring Boot and SQL for data persistence. Additionally, I developed an Asylum Tracker Application, which helps track asylum seekers' statuses by providing real-time information, and an Advanced Web Application as a full stack developer, using both React.js for the user interface and Node.js for backend services. These projects allowed me to apply the skills learned in training, such as RESTful API development, data management, and building scalable web solutions. I am always eager to learn and take on new challenges, and I look forward to contributing to meaningful projects that make a difference in people's lives.
